Can someone tell me approximately how long each number is for mens haircuts, and recommend some common combos?

0 is zero...to the skin


1/2 is 1/16th of and inch


1 is 1/8


2 is 1/4


3 is 3/8


4 is 1/2


5 is 5/8


6 is 3/4


7 is 7/8


8 is 1 inch





common combos are 0 side faded into a 1or 2


1 faded into 2 or 3


2 faded into 3 or 4


4 faded into 6-7 or 8





just depends on how short you like it. My husband just has me buzz his wholehead with a 2 or 3. it's quick and easy and looks fine.Can someone tell me approximately how long each number is for mens haircuts, and recommend some common combos?
they are in 1/8 inch increments. 1=1/8, 2=1/4 etc.
